An authentic environment where you feel you are in grand St Petersburg
The hotel is in a 19th century building on Bolshaya Morskaya, formerly
know as 'Diamond Street'. A few doors down is the Faberge building and the Astoria Hotel.
The building was purpose built as apartments for the rich and famous.
The
court composer, Alfred Zimmerman, use to live in the apartment that forms
part of the hotel and many of his works have been found under the floorboards.
The interior of Casa Leto echoes the building's 19th Century origins.
Plasterwork has been preserved and the same luxurious space and proportions
respected. The entrance to the hotel has an impressive old staircase.
Inside the hotel proper is a bar lounge area where you can relax on Chesterfield
sofas in front of a fireplace and meet other guests.
There is no such thing as a standard room: they are all individual. The
bedrooms are larger than you might normally expect and significantly more
spacious than the equivalently priced room in a five star hotel.
Casa Leto is planned to be no larger than 20 rooms so the intimacy and level of personal care can be maintained. This year, whilst refurbishment of a further ten rooms is under way, the hotel will be opening with just five rooms. Enjoy.
