Winter Days

St Isaac's Cathedral

St Petersburg, known as the 'Venice of the North' and regarded as the cultural capital of Russia is one of the most beautiful cities of the world, but in winter something quite magical happens as the canals freeze over and buildings are veiled in snow. Walking around the city and seeing Petersburg's unique architecture powdered with snow, with the winter sun reflecting like platinum on the city’s canals, is a stunning sight.
